Background

Don Galligher is founder of DRT Consulting LLC, and is a USA Cycling Level 2 certified Coach, Body Geometry Certified bicycle fit professional, has his power based training certification, and has a back ground in cognitive behavioral therapy, and sports psychology. Don has also competed at the elite level, and been racing for over10 years.

 

DRT consulting makes professional training and performance consulting available for the everyday athlete. Choose DRT and you will be partnered with a senior or associate coach that will help identify your needs and direct a plan towards meeting your goals.

 

DRT Consulting provides individualized training plans for Recreational, elite, and amateur athletes. This includes assessment, training protocols, sports nutrition, performance testing, strength training, bicycle position, equipment choice, cognitive conditioning, and referrals. DRT is one of less than 40 Power based certified coaches in the United States. If you want to learn how to use that power meter to reach new heights, DRT is your connection for training with Power.

 

DRT offers a plan for almost every athlete. Each individual is realized as a whole, so the plan will be shaped to meet the athlete’s needs. We work with mountain bikers, Multi-sport athletes, runners, and cyclists.

 

DRT has worked with 100’s of athletes and helped them reach or move towards their goals. Some athlete success’s include a bronze medal at the professional 24 hour world championships, Podium appearances at the National championships, and multiple state championships. Other success’s include complete body composition transformations, improvements in comfort while cycling and increased enjoyment for the athletes sport.

Small Ring

Package includes: Initial consultation, Training zones established for Heart rate, identification of client needs and training prepared in 4 week cycles. Client to coach interaction beyond initial assessment is email or phone, 10 minutes, once per week, client initiated and 2 adjustments to training per month. 

Package includes detailed descriptions of workouts, appendix, and glossary of terms and training Journal. Training comes via email or snail mail. 

$120.00 per 4 week cycle
Start Up Cost: $50.00


 

Middle Ring

Package includes: Initial consultation, Training zones established for heart rate, identification of client needs and training prepared from week to week, in 4 week cycles. 

Client to coach interaction beyond initial assessment is email or phone, 10 minutes, twice per week, client initiated and 1 adjustment to training per week. 


Coach will evaluate 1 training journal per week and 1 heart rate file per week if applicable, to identify progress and monitor fatigue. Package includes detailed descriptions of workouts, appendix, and training Journal. 

The Cost: $160.00 per 4 week cycle
Start Up Cost: $50.00


 

  Big Ring

Package includes: Initial consultation, Training Zones established for power or heart rate, identification of client needs and training prepared from week to week, in 4 week cycles. This is a great plan for multi-sport athletes or the athlete that uses a power meter.

Client to coach interaction beyond initial assessment is by email, phone or in person. Contact is not time limited, client/coach initiated and unlimited adjustments to training as needed. Package includes: guaranteed 10 hour response time to all emails and phone calls. 

Package includes recommendations on strength training and 60 minutes of personalized attention per month if geography permits. Athlete is responsible for all travel costs and hourly rate is billed for time exceeding 60 minutes.

Coach will evaluate 1 training journal per week and 2 power files per week if applicable, to identify progress and monitor fatigue. Package includes detailed descriptions of workouts, appendix, and training Journal.

Training comes via email or snail mail.

The Cost: $200.00 per 4 week cycle
Start Up Cost: $100.00


  No Chain

Package includes: Initial consultation, Initial Field Test, Training zones established for power and Heart rate, identification of client needs and training prepared from week to week, in 4 week cycles.  

Client to coach interaction beyond initial assessment is by email, phone or in person. Contact is not time limited, client/coach initiated and unlimited adjustments to training as needed. Package includes: guaranteed 3 hour response time to all emails and phone calls. 

Comes with recommendations on strength training and nutrition and personalized attention if geography permits, will give 2, 1 hour personal session per month as needed. 

Coach will evaluate 1 training journal per week and unlimited power files per week if applicable, to identify progress and monitor fatigue. Package includes detailed descriptions of workouts, appendix, and training Journal. 

Training comes via email or snail mail. 

The Cost: $300.00 per 4 week cycle must sign a six month contract
Start up Cost: $150.00


 

Training Camps



DRT Performance Consulting Personalized Training camps for individuals or groups up to 10. Camps can be focused on Off-road or Road. This is a great way to boost fitness, polish technique, or lay a foundation for the season ahead. 

Includes up to 2, 4 hour sessions per day covering technique, training drills, performance testing, Bicycle fitting, and Q&A session, can arrange lodging and support for additional fees, please enquire. 


 

DRT Consulting can arrange for a customized camp in your dream location, for additional fee!

The Cost: $1500.00 + travel expenses
Start Up Cost: 50% deposit to secure date, all dates must be booked 2-3 weeks in advance.


  

Performance Testing

Your 1 hour session includes: 60 minutes on a Computrainer with a certified Professional coach, identifying your strengths and limiters to improvement. This is a Functional threshold power test that includes spin scan of pedal stroke, identification of postural deficiency, pedaling bio-mechanics, and aerobic capacity.  Athlete will be provided with a written summary, and established training zones in power and Heart Rate. 


The Cost: $80.00 per hour
Start Up Cost: $20.00 per hour computrainer rental
