Well today was the teams first mini camp of the season. We decided to rendevouz at ATMs and use that as Base. The morning brought some cloudy skies and mild temps of around 45. We rolled out in the new kits (sweet to see the sea of red) and headed west towards the state for some steep climbs. Most think of Indiana as flat, however southern IN, and in particular Brown county, and Bloomington, present some solid category 4 climbs. Are they long? No well relatively speaking no, 1-2K in length and the grades are stiff! (upto 24%) these are the hills that make legs scream, and trust me today, my legs were begging for Mercy! ATM was throwing down some crazy watts on the HCH and Toler was smashing it to a point, he likely suprised himself ;*) We logged about 5 hours of saddle time, adn accounted for about 80 miles round trip. The sunshine shown the entire final 3 hours and the SRM says high of 61 deg. It was great to spend some time riding with some of the new guys, and seeing what they were capable of. I am looking forward to Training camp next week, but today was amere teaser of the sweet riding we will do then, and I would say the winter weather advisory for tommorrow is not a good sign that outdor rides this week are in my forcast!
