DRT Portland USP Recap Day 1 |

Day 1 of the USGP in Portland saw DRT riders take off in the Elite masters race and the Elite U23. Messer took the hole shot, only to have a flat that sent him to the pits twice for bike swaps. As he was on good form he easily rebounded, and fought back to second place where he worked his way 10 seconds off the front on the wide open powerful course with 1 lap to go. Coming into the last corner Andy hits the pavement with a bike lead, and mis-shifts, only to be overtaken in the sprint for a 2nd place finish! Great job so close but ther is always tomorrow. Zach took a top 40 in the Mens Elite Race, not sure how they spplit the results for his U23 finish, will post as soon as I have something . Good luck tomorrow guys!
